There's a time on a long flight when I find myself gazing out the window, nose almost pressed to it. A unique switch in focus floats over my normal sight, and I can almost see the particles of light in the clouds. Sparkly and iridescent, they hypnotize me, as my brain relaxes, and I seem to lift free of time and place. It's a transitional reality between my usual here and the special there where I'm heading.
